NMIIC seeks impact investment opportunities that further its mission of creating healthy, equitable, sustainable and economically vibrant communities within New Mexico.
Impact investments are financial investments that seek social and/or environmental benefits alongside a financial return. Like grants, impact investments seek to advance a social mission or benefit. However, unlike grants, impact investments are expected to be repaid though they may carry flexible or favorable terms to advance a charitable purpose.
Eligibility Criteria: NMIIC will consider investments into organizations that meet the following criteria.
Type of Entity: Non-profit, mission-driven for-profit business, and/or intermediary/fund that is strongly aligned with NMIIC’s priorities.
Type of Capital: Loan or equity investment (Note: Investment and/or loan terms will vary depending on the proposed use of capital and alignment with NMIIC’s priorities).
Geography: Located within New Mexico and/or offering a product or service that clearly benefits people and places within New Mexico.
Other:
Demonstrable track record of commitment to social impact.
Demonstrable potential for successful execution.
Ability to repay (for example, recurring revenue, pledged revenue, savings, refinancing, growth).
